Mark Ferguson
In 1990 attorney Mark M. Ferguson received his Juris Doctorate from UMKC’s law school and went on to work as a Rule 13 law clerk. After spending some time working in Clay County’s prosecuting office, Mark served as an Assistant Prosecutor of Missouri. Before long, the desire grew to launch his own firm. In 1996, he started his own practice. Mark is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and believes in standing up for what’s right.
Margaret A. Costanzo
Attorney
Attorney Margaret Costanzo graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1993 and immediately after attended law school. Working in a prosecutor's office for over 17 years, allowed Margaret to gain experience in both criminal and civil law. As a Guardian AD Litem, Margaret works to find solutions for children in divorce and parental rights cases. Margaret specializes on criminal, civil, and family law and uses her vast knowledge of law to advance the interest of her client.
John S. Newberry
Attorney
Attorney John Newberry graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1975 and soon after began practicing criminal law. During this time, John also pursued federal tax cases and argued before Federal District Courts across the United States. In 2005, John became an associate at Mark M. Ferguson, Attorney At Law, LLC. John strives to handle his domestic client cases with the sensitivity and attentiveness they deserve.
Seth E. Shimerda
Seth Shimerda graduated from the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Law, and soon went on to pass his Missouri Bar exam in 2018. Before graduating from law school, Seth volunteered as a Rule 13 Attorney where he assisted indigent families with their juvenile and probate law needs. Seth practices criminal defense and family law and is committed to providing quality advocacy to all of his clients.
Kaelyn L. Guinty
Upon passing her bar, Attorney Kaelyn Guinty began her career as an associate attorney at Mark M. Ferguson, Attorney at Law, LLC in 2019. Today as a Guardian Ad Litem, Kaelyn strives to discover better solutions for children in divorce and parental rights cases. Kaelyn provides guidance and researched-based legal options to clients in need of criminal and family law help.
